Description

My research focuses on understanding the structure of atomic nuclei. It involves investigation of nuclear-structure properties that are relevant to applications of nuclear science as well as the development of advanced nuclear instrumentation techniques.This research includes the use different experimental approaches to learn about excited states that exist in atomic nuclei, measuring properties such as their level energies, lifetimes and radioactive decay pathways. This is a key aspect of understanding their behavior and providing important benchmarks for the latest developments in nuclear theory. This research benefits society by helping to create and sustain a nuclear-technology-ready workforce in Botswana and developing nations across the African region.
