Research Focus Area
My research centres on two interconnected but distinct long-term objectives: (1) Advancing the design and development of products through computational methods, including computer-aided design, rapid prototyping, and design automation, with a focus on human-centred approaches. (2) Enhancing the interaction between humans and emerging mobility technologies, particularly in the context of shared and highly automated vehicles (SAVs).

The domain of shared and autonomous mobility provides a focused yet versatile framework for exploring user experiences, travel behaviour, and the acceptance of new technologies. My work aims to bridge fundamental insights from engineering, design, and human factors research with practical applications that address critical challenges in mobility and transportation. This interplay allows user needs and requirements to shape innovative solutions, while the applied challenges offer valuable constraints and opportunities to refine theoretical models. By fostering these reciprocal connections between foundational and applied research, I seek to contribute both to academic understanding and to the development of user-centric, sustainable mobility solutions.
