The BoSiCaM Academic Track is the research and postgraduate training component of the Botswana Sodium-Ion Battery Cathode Materials programme. Led by the University of Botswana, the project focuses on developing and characterising sodium-ion battery cathode materials through experimental research, postgraduate training, and international collaboration. The programme supports PhD students, research personnel, scientific publications, and specialised laboratory infrastructure to advance energy-storage research while building local expertise in battery science and materials chemistry. Ultimately, the Academic Track aims to strengthen Botswana's research capacity, contribute to sustainable energy technologies, and support national goals in innovation, mineral beneficiation, and knowledge-based industrialisation.
