A new synthetic method of flavone inspired chromenes is reported. This method explores the enamine-iminium salt route in the formation of chromenes.  The aim of the study is to synthesize the flavone inspired chromenes by reacting salicyldehydes, acetophenones and secondary amine in a one-pot three-component reaction with an acid as a catalyst. The synthesized compounds will be characterized using fourier-transform infra-red spectroscopy, 1H-Nuclear Magnetic resonance, 13C-Nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry.
