This paper uses qualitative research methods guided by the socialexchange theory and the Community-Based Natural ResourceManagement concept to explore the contribution of community-basedecotourism to bushmeat consumption/production using the ChobeEnclave Conservation Trust, located adjacent to the Chobe NationalPark, Botswana. Data were collected between May and August 2018.Using semi-structured in-depth interviews, results indicate that, bush-meat consumption became prevalent through trophy hunting tourism. With the hunting ban in 2014, game hunting licenses was stopped, cut-ting institutionalized bushmeat supply and widening trade-offs betweencommunity livelihoods improvement and conservation. Socially, huntingtourism has contributed to affinity for bushmeat taste.
