Electric Signature Analysis (ESA) is a relatively new technology and is getting huge attention for its role in analyzing motors, generators, transformers, and other electric assets for the diagnosis of associated problems while they are in service. This technology can not only identify the issues within the electric equipment but also the problems being contributed to it by the power supply source or the load being driven. As a preventative maintenance tool, ESA can be employed to conduct testing to find, trend, and track the performance of any electric equipment. ESA is a remote and non-intrusive technique.
